Alemania, recién derrotada en la Gran Guerra veía las calles de sus ciudades tomadas por soldados ociosos retornados del frente.

Berlín, mezcla entre ciudad del pecado, provincianismo y sueños rotos de gloria, iniciaba una nueva etapa ignorante de su futuro a la vuelta de otros veinte años.
